Regional Sales Director - Wholesale Bandwidth, nLayer Communications
nLayer Communications is seeking a Regional Sales Director to to head our efforts in selling bandwidth and transport services and managing the accounts of current customers. This full-time position is being staffed in our Chicago loop office. Experience in the ISP, telecom, or hosting provider industries is required.
Job Scope:
- Fielding telephone and email inquiries on the sale of the nLayer product
- Negotiating and subsequently issuing quotes, sales orders, and contract paperwork to customers
- Working with Finance, IP Engineering, and Datacenter Operations groups to process and complete customer orders
- Providing feedback on product direction when we refresh our product lineup
- Sourcing and generating leads by being an active participant in networking events, conventions, online groups, and other methods related to outside sales efforts
- Demonstrating the ability to gather and submit detailed business information for, pricing, and presentation of solutions tailored to customer’s business needs
- Maintaining accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities
- Adhering to company policies, procedures and business ethics codes
An excellent candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Thorough understanding of the industry and how to best position products and services
to customers - Good understanding of IP transit and bandwidth
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- The ability to prepare and deliver written proposals with limited supervision
- In-depth knowledge of sales process including, pricing, and selling strategies
- Effective time management, decision making, presentation, human relations, and
organizational skill - Proven success in outside and inside sales environments
